Practice Doing Ruffle Garland
I don't expect many to look at this cake. It is my first real practice cake for my parents 50th. I had never done garlands or ruffle til today. I practiced first on the wilton practice board. That really is a great thing and I'm glad I bought that. Anyway, these are my first garlands. I still have not figured out smoothing. Working on that.
I really didn't expect any comments. You are all so sweet for your encouraging words. Thanks.
Your ruffles look good for your first real tries. I can't get mine even, you'rs look good. I like the practice board also, less waste with icing
Not bad for a practice cake!
I think the garlands came out good. You did good for first time. Even if it is a practice cake you can still eat it and serve it to others. :)
I think it looks great! As for the smoothing... it's easier if your icing is on thicker. You don't want to see the cake thru the icing ;) It does look very good though the ruffles are beautiful!!!
