Thank you so much for all the nice words. The scrolls were done free hand, I think scrolls look more natural that way and if you mess up a scroll, you can just add a dot extra and no one will ever know:)

Wow! This cake is so incredibly elegant looking. Your bow is fantastic! It looks shinier than mine do...did you paint it with something? great job! ;-D

this is soooo nice, i have always wanted to try something like this, did you use a tip 1 for the scroll work?

Thanks guys, I think I used a tip 2 or 3 and I just went easy on the pressure until I got to the parts where I put more pressure to make it thicker.

Just beautiful!! I would also love to know how you do those scrolls- free hand?? They're perfect, anyways, and so is the bow!!

thanks HBcakes, I just take a paper towel and practice for about 10 min. and then go for it, where ever I messed up, I just changed the shape of the curl:)

This is one of my very favorite cakes. You must have been cross eyed by the time you were done. Can you please give me some tips on how to do the fondant bow. I'm making the wedding cake for my best friend's wedding and she wants a bow on top. My e-mail is [email protected]
