Beautiful display. I know a 22 year old Little Mermaid fan who would just die for this one! What did you use for the sand? Are the starfish, seahorse and shell edible?

on

No, I cheated on the starfish, seahorse and shell...needed something at the last minute to add to it and grabbed those from a basket of shells. The sand is granulated brown sugar.

Wow! Great job on the facial features. I always make mine look... well, not so good. :) Is the sign made from fondant?

on

The sign is just from white chocolate hardened...didn't have any fondant at the house at the time. Yes, there's a Little Mermaid pan, but it's an old one and hard to find.
