This cake was for a surprise baby shower. I used these pattern templates to make the pattern impression and then cut out all the squares with a cutter. The tiny bows are fondant, as are the teddy bear and his mini quilt

Thanks so much everyone!! I used these fiskars texture plates for most of the patterns. After imprinting the fondant I cut them out with a square cutter. I did most of them ahead of time and I think it helped that they were a little bit firm when I put them on the cake.

Fantastic cake, just so well done. I love everything from the colours to the textures. I just got those Fiskar plates yesterday and am eager to try them. May I 'borrow' your quilt square idea? You're quite the inspiration!!

I'm pretty sure I used 9 & 6 in pans, but I kind of forget.... I bought my texture plates at Jo ann's but they probably have them at other craft stores.
