My version of Martha Stewart's chocolate scrollwork cake
Bottom tier is a 3" tall 14" round cake, carved to make the top rounded; other three tiers are 2-layer petal-shaped cakes. All cakes are covered in fondant and the scrollwork and borders are chocolate truffle icing. Bottom two tiers are mango cake with mango cream filling, and the top two tiers are french vanilla cake with fresh strawberry filling. The bride is a close family friend, and she is Indian. She wanted her cake to look like the mehndi designs that are painted on Indian brides' hands and feet.
