I got the idea for this cake from mgowan on this website. My daughter wanted an elmo cake but I hate using a lot of red icing, so I decided this would work out better. The cake is a caramel flavored cake with a caramel and apple filling. It is iced in a caramel flavored buttercream. The decorations are done in fondant.
