Frangipani Christening Cake

Frangipani Christening Cake on Cake Central

This is another adaptation of the marbled christening cakes I have done. It was a pink, yellow and white, frangipani themed christening, so this is what I came up with. The flowers are artificial and the bear is ceramic.

This cake is just too precious! I like how you did the marbeling and the simplicity of it. How did you do the lettering?

Thanks everyone!! The lettering is done with cutters. They are FMM brand Alphabet cutters. The marbling is easy once you get the hang of it. I colour my icings first, so for this cake I had the amount of fondant I needed, left 1/2 to 2/3 white, then coloured 1/2 the remainder pink and 1/2 the remainder yellow. Then I line up thick sausage type things of each colour next to each other (white, yellow, pink, white , yellow, pink, white). Pick it up and smoosh it all together a bit, then roll.

How in the world did you get it marbled sooooooooo beautifully? Yah, I know how to marble, but this is great; :P

Thank you for the explanation about your marbling! I need to try this technique instead of adding coloring directly to the fondant...sounds like a MUCH better way ;-D
