Autumn Leaves

Autumn Leaves on Cake Central

this was an experiment, and just for practice. Leaves are chocolate melts brushed onto washed and dried real leaves. Leaves were then peeled off. I don't think I would serve this to anyone but family, or at the very least, I would take the leaves off before serving. First time I tried swirls...they didn't come out very well. Rose is a tootsie roll rose.

Your cake is beautiful. You did well with the swirls - they'll improve with practice, but for the first time they're really nice. The leaves look fantastic. That is not an uncommon technique, by the way. I believe rose leaves are used more often though. Great job!
