Fondant Baby Shower Cake
My first attempt at a fondant cake. I think it went pretty well. I used the Alternative Marshmallow Fondant recipe I found on CC and really liked it!! 10" and 6" chocolate cakes..covered with buttercream and then fondant. Gumpaste and fondant accents. I believe this was a wilton cake, but I got the idea from this site. Thanks for looking.
First attempt... 8O NO WAY!!! That is fantabulous!!!
This is just darling. I love it.
You have talent very nice cake
Wow...fantabulous!! Thanks! I used the vinyl method to roll out and transfer the fondant to the cake...worked like a charm.
I love the lettering. Can you share how you did that?
This can't be your first attempt! Outstanding job!!!
The lettering....2 words....pure hell. I enlarged a font that I liked...printed them out on cardstock, cut them out then laid them on the fondant and cut around them with an exacto knife....took me about an hour for 4 letters.....and they were FRAGILE! Swear it was my first attempt...couldn't even sleep last night because of it.
Ahhhhh! Soooo cute! Great job.
I love it! So so cute!
beautiful, what is the vinyl method for rolling the fondant. I have only worked with fondant a few times, it is a texture issue for me. I hate to see all the hard work that goes into it for the customers/family to peel it off. Yours is beautiful, you should be very proud!
Wonderful cake. Absolutely love the colours and everything else about it!
it is a great job, the colors are very pretty
Cute!
Beautiful cake --- you did a wonderful job!!
I like the lettering too! Looks professional :D

Going in my list of favorites. You are sooo talented!!!
Can you say how you did the buttons? Did you hand-mold the baby? Cute as can be.
Beautiful, can't find a single flaw!
WOW great job especially for your first fondant.
