Saunders - Drake Wedding on Cake Central

This cake gave me such fits. I was not pleased at all with the outcome. Not in the least. The bride requested sparse clusters of a couple of flowers with ivy foliage flowing from each. Also, can someone help me with the "dimpling" in between layers??? The 10" bottom layer did fine, but the 8" middle starting oozing from the center around the sides. I limited the filling amount. Help!!! I have weddings for the next 4 weeks. I don't want the same mistake. Thanks!!!

Did I mention that I had to request that the a/c be turned on? It was so warm in the reception hall that the cake icing began softening. The cake is made up of a 6" caramel vanilla peanut butter with vanilla butter cream filling; 8" coconut with vanilla butter cream filling, and a 10" vanilla layer with vanilla buttter cream filling. All butter cream iced. Thanks for any help in advance!!!

Don't be too hard on yourself. Remember, we are our own worst critics! I think you did fine. As for the oozing between layers, I sometimes experience this when I haven't allowed the cakes to cool completely and try to rush the process while the case is slightly warm. There may be other causes, but this has been my experience.
