Your roses and especially your cake looks great to me too, I don't do roses very well at all yet but from the photo I'm wondering if your buttercream is a little too soft to let them be more sharp and crisp? I found I could pipe fine but if I used the same consistency I would pipe with they would seem soft and flatter too. Your cake made me hungry by the way :) It looks delish!
