Glad to see this done! I had a customer ask if I could do one and had no clue where to start. You did a great job!

If you looking to replicate, I just used a center column cake stand , the plates had a lace look at the edges that had holes and I just ran snap ties through the holes to hold the chains, the chains were purchased from home depot, connected at the top in the lace holes and then I connected two snap ties toget her at the bot tom and ran the chains through it to bring them together.

This cake is excellent! My husband is turning 30 this year and I was searching around for a dg cake idea. This is phenomenal! Can I ask what cake stand you used? I've tried to locate something like this, but can't seem to find it. The only thing that I see that might work is the Tall Tier Cake Stand by Wilton. Thanks for any suggestions!

Yes, I used the tall tier cake stand with two 16" plates. I glued legs on the bottom plate, and used the 13.5" column. The plates are scalloped, with doily appearance, I used this to my advantage. In the outer ruffle area, there are small holes, or its thin enough to punch holes in the plastic. I made the holes big enough and ran a small snap tie through the hole and connected the chains to the plate. I also ran snap ties through the last link in each chain to bring the chains in at the bottom
