Andy Pandy...work In Progress!

Andy Pandy...work In Progress! on Cake Central

This is Andy Pandy who will soon be joined by Teddy for 1 year old boy's birthday cake. He stands 4" tall and took me exactly 3 hours to make. The blue stripes on his body suit are individually cut and stuck in place. I extruded the strips from my sugar gun first and cut to size and trimmed as I went along. His arm is being supported with sponge at the moment and I'll remove that tomorrow to make sure he's dried in the correct position. He waves goodbye to me on Saturday!

He is absolutely adorable!!! I love him. I mean he just looks so perfect. Like a little store bought doll. I hope you don't mind me telling you that when I First say him he made me giggle a little because he looked like he was doing the little "Michael Jackson" dance move! But it is so precious. I hope you don't mind if I try to make him one day. I'll give you full credit for sure :)

How sweeeeet. 3 hours, huh? Makes me realize just how much time and energy goes into these little figures. I don't know that I would have the patience!

I wish I could keep you in my pocket and pull you out everytime I want to make fondant figures. I can't believe how talented you are!!

Keep the unused fondant in a plastic bag and only pull off the amount you need to work on at the time.
