Drunken Mice on Cake Central

practise cake....need SOO much more practise, if any of you feel sorry for me please message me on how to make figures that dont crack! what icing do you use? how do you cover a cake without getting creases and tears with the slightest pulling. id love to be able to make cakes...but they annoy me so much when icing rips all the time! any recipes for icing would be brilliant! chocolate cake, strawberry filling, all fondant, (champagne bottles are candles)

this is so cute! It looks really good to me. When I make figures I use fondant. or fondant mixed with some powder gumtex to make a "gumpaste". I don't have any recipes as I just buy my fondant.

It's really adorable....I don't see any cracks either. Have you tried MMF? I find if you microwave it and use it while it is warm, there are virtually no flaws.

this is an awesome cake -so cute!! I have the same problems and I've been trying quite a few dif. fondant recipes lately -tasty, but not good for molding. If you find something, let me know! Someone mentioned regalice but I can't find it in the states.... someone else said Fondx but I've only found it in large quantities and its quite expensive! Good luck!

Very cute....sounds like some of my practice cakes! That's when you put a little design on the rips! :P :sssh:

this is a great cake, i really love it. If you have some crack, maybe you paste is too dry. Maybe a few drops of water will help you making the paste softer.

Your cakes are soo amazing, you need to give classes. I am so impressed. I also think you are way to critical of your work. I hope someday I am that good.

That cake is adorable. If this is just a practice cake then , I would hate to see the real thing, because to me this one looks perfect. Great job, I love it, but I hate mice. (except yours)
