Pool Table Groom's Cake
This is a groom's cake I made that's shaped like a pool table. The cake is chocolate with buttercream and chocolate buttercream icing. The cake board is covered in chocolate brown fondant, and so are the pillars that I used for the legs of the pool table.
Oh sorry, the pool balls were fondant also. The solid ones I colored the fondant first, then rolled into balls. The striped ones, I made white pool balls then painted on stripes with food coloring. I drew the numbers on them all with a toothpick and black food coloring. Oh, and the cue stick is a dowel rod slightly sharpened on one end, and rubbed with brown food coloring.
