Raspberry Scrolls

Raspberry Scrolls on Cake Central

Simple cake but looks yummy, I like that kind..."Elvis Favorite Pound Cake" recipe with lemon curd filling on the top two and Polaner Raspberry filling in the bottom. I used a light whipped buttercream icing and then scrollwork with fresh raspberries and mint leaves.

Thanks! Its a real creamy soft buttercream and I use a new palette knife (like what you get to do plaster) and also a business card works well to smooth out the top edges.

Beautiful cake. I can only dream about getting my icing that smooth. Wish I knew the secret! Great job.

Beautifully done! Now, did you use those plastic press in thingies to imprint the scroll work on the sides? I think it looks perfect! HEY, I just saw saw your comment about the business card. Those stupic plastic credit cards I get in the mail would work great for smoothing. I'll save the next one I get, which will probably be next week. Great job on the cake. I love it.

Wow. Looks awesome! And I see the diagonals on the berries! (It was the first thing I looked for after reading your forum post lol) Still, looks soooo yummy!
