Doctor Cakes
I did these last month for my brother's Med. School Graduation. One chocolate with CBC and one white with white BD. Cake design/decorations are fondant except for the name tags. Other tools are gum paste. These were fun to do but very unnerving! First time doing a cake for someone else's event. They were a hit! Thanks for all the ideas on here!!
Wonderful!! Excellent details! I can imagine they were a HUGE hit!
awesome job, i like how you turned a plain sheet of cake into a coat. love the collars!
You did a wonderful job! Would you mind if I borrow this idea? I work for surgeons and my nephew is in med school.
Copy away! Thanks for the compliment! There is one I looked at on here that was white on white. My sister-in-law picked the shirt/tie colors. :)
This is so good, your fondant is so smooth!
very very creative!

Great Cake, I can see why they where a big hit!
Perfect!
These are great! How did you do the writing on the name tags, and the detail on the blood pressure gauge? Awesome!
Ok, I have to admit the name tags I printed off on my computer so they were not edible. Though, for the next ones (this August) they will be. And the BP gauge is gumpaste, the markings on the dial were with edible marker. HTH :)
I found the link to your cakes on a thread about sheet cakes, and I love these!! You did an amazing job and I bet your brother loved them!!
Great job all the way around. Thanks for the tip on the collars!
PERFECTION! You did a wonderful job You should be very proud. Going into my favs.Connie1220
love these! they're so cute and creative! i may try to replicate these and donate them to the local hospital. great going!
They are fabulous!
death_by_frosting... the collars, actually I practiced first with my kids playdough  The "trick" is to make a long rectangle and make it kind of thick then fold in half down the length. When you stand it up spread the open edge just a bit at the back of the neck and fold the inner edge toward the shirt (like giving it feet). If it needs support not to fall in just put some tissue paper there until it is set! :D HTH!
Oh Wow!!!! I have to do these for my husband for Christmas! You did a fabulous job!!!!!!
wow, great job....looks so nice and clean!!
bravo!--i love it!---way to shine and show your skill---you deserve to soak up all the praises! enjoy all the wonderful complements because all that work deserves it.
