Sisters Trial Wedding Cake

This is a practice cake for my little sisters wedding this weekend (sep. 3) So scared, but excited. She want's the wine colored icing even darker. It is chocolate with an almond buttercream. and the other layers will be Lemon with strawberry filling and lemon curd filling.

Just WAIT. The icing color should be darker tomorrow. I find that most of my colors deepen overnight, and some continue to darken until they are eaten.

I ended up going with powered red and burgundy, then using a ton of it. I will never do that color again!!!
