Pink And White Cake

Pink And White Cake on Cake Central

I ended up really liking this one, the bride is a paramedic who works at my husbands fire station, so I was nervous about doing this one. I did it in bc with gumpaste roses in two shades of pink and white gumpaste filler flowers.

I love this ... and from experience ... pictures usually look worse than in person -- so I bet it looked amazing! :D

helipops . . . you did an awesome job on your buttercream 8O !! I too have a buttercream cake (my very first wedding cake) to do July 9 (hot, hot, hot). I am so nervous about doing this cake, but yours has inspired me  ! I only hope mine comes out as smooth as yours!

Thanks so much, I followed Sugar shacks directions and used the viva paper towel with a fondant smoother and then finished with a piece of computer paper with a fondant smoother. I think the pic. hides all the flaws, it didn't look as good in person.

thanks everyone, luv2cakethe cake pans are a 16, 12, 8, and 6 in. teewee, the viva method is taking a viva (must be viva brand for the smoothness) papertowel and put against bc and smooth using your fondant smoother, when you are done, get a piece of computer paper and do the same thing, if the paper gets to greasy, just grab another piece and cont. until it is smooth.
