I just held it in my hand a couple of seconds to let it soften, then I pinched off a large piece and formed it to the shape of a hershey kiss or a little cone. Then I started on the petals. I pinched off smaller pieces and flattened them out, tried to get them as smooth as possible, then just stuck them on the 'cone'. I used the same rule of thumb as the Wilton rose, 3 petals around the top, then a row of 5, then 7 (well, 6 because I ran out). I used a tootsie roll also if you look at my profile.

That is one beautiful rose!!!!
What a cute idea! I wonder if Starbursts would work also?
I bet it would! Next time I go to the store I'm going to browse the candy aisle. This was made from leftover candy from a recent parade :)
That's so cool, how did you get a now & later to be so pliable ? Would you mind sharing your technique? :P

Your roses look great no matter what medium you use!
