Regal Dog Wedding Cake Aka A Nightmare Disaster!

This cake, has got to be one of my worst...to date. The bride and groom insisted on changing things, including colors, cake toppers, etc. They wanted the scroll work to go up and down instead of side by side. I ended up doing EXACTLY as they instructed and this is what we got. They put the dogs on the top and were pleased as all get out. I, on the other hand, wanted to run for the hills and didn't take business cards with me (to hide the evidence!) Anywho, here is my disaster!!

I would've felt the same way as you if I had to do this cake. But your customers were pleased as all get out, so that is really what is important. You done good. :wink:

This is your WORST cake?! Holy MOLY!! It may not be a design you liked however your execution is perfect!!

to me the cake looks perfectly made! but I know what you mean - it´s not YOUR style of cakes :wink: but it´s not a disaster!!!!! And your customers are happy - so go one to the next cake, as that will be a truly "Debs-cake" again ;-D

Thanks! The customers (originally) wanted scroll work to travel (in a pattern) around the cake sides. I was really happy with that. Also, I wanted to make the cake white and the scrolls royal blue (original color) in a definite pattern. The customers then changed their minds and wanted the scrolls to resemble feathers and have them haphazard to look similiar to feathers falling randomly. Geez
