Ivory Wedding Cake Cookies on Cake Central

These have 3 little gumpaste flowers for detail. I did 100 of them today for a client's wedding favour.

Your cookies are outstanding! I'm going to try these for a wedding gift next weekend. The white icing is all royal, right? Do you outline first then fill in? What the secret to the icing consistency? LOVE your work!

You can check out my recipe called Royal Icing for Decorated Cookies in the Recipe section of this website, I give a few tips there. I don't outline anymore...unless the cookie's shape is difficult. It cuts down on my time and I like the look better. If you get your royal icing to a thickness of say, pancake batter, you can outline and fill in one step. Saves your hours!!

how long do the cookies last for? and how much do you charge for them?? I just got an order and I'm not sure how much to charge! P.S. these are adorable!

The cookies last about 7 - 10 days before the butter in them starts to turn. They last a bit longer if you ice them, let them dry for at least 24-36 hours, then bag them up in cellophane or whatever. I don't put them in the fridge or freezer at all, but some people say you can? I've never tried! I charge $4.00 CAN for a personalized wedding cake cookie (4" x 3.5"), but I've seen them here for $6-10!

Aren't you cookie'd out yet? I cannot believe all the details you put into your cookies and you make them from scratch. They are unbelievable!

I love doing the cookies more than my cakes...by far! I haven't got patience for people...but I seem to for these cookies. Ha ha!!

where can I find cello bags big enuf for the wedding cake cookies?? I have only been able to find cello bags for small cookies??

on

I get mine in Toronto from a store called "Retail Bag" downtown (416-504-0280 or 1-800-418-2247). $17.00 for 100 bags. The size you want is C4 for these 4" cookies. They fit beautifully!

Golda's Kitchen supplies has a good selection (www.goldaskitchen.com), but the exchange rate to the States is pretty good right now for us Canadians...so check out www.cookiecutter.com and www.kitchengifts.com too
