Really easy to do. I looked online for some, then just did them each freehand.

it was an order for 100. It actually took only 30 minutes to do the black on them all. I hope someone orders these for a wedding, now I'm all practiced and ready to go!!

I wanted to tell everyone that I used my new Americolor dye for these. WHAT a miracle! It took about 1/2 the amount of food colouring I usually have to mix in!! Thanks to someone for their advice in the forum last month!!!

The white royal for the heart is so perfect! You make me ill! Not really! I absolutely enjoy looking at your work. It is so inspiring to ME!!!!

The secret to making it look pro is to use a bit thicker royal icing...like pancake batter consistency...and you don't need to do the outline/fill thing anymore. (It's impossible if the cookie is a really complicated shape...but hearts, circles, cakes, etc. work well.) Just outline and fill in one quick motion. Try it...it takes practice, but WELL worth the time you'll save!!!

Did you cover the entire cookie in white, let that dry and then come back with the black on top of the white?
