I used white fondant for the cakes (Lemon-Raspberry inside!) and made the tiny flowers in gumpaste...then brushed them with lilac irridescent powder. The leaves were brushed with green irridescent powder.
Here is my trick for avoiding those creases!! If I make an 8" cake, for example, I fondant it as best as I can...then I cut away the fondant at the board and THEN I put the cake on a 7" cake pan turned upside down. I leave it overnight. The fondant relaxes and stretches down ever so slightly. In the morning, I re-trim the cake's bottom edge cleanly with a sharp knife. It works SO well!
Another thing...when you roll your fondant, don't go thinner than 1/4" thick. It seems a lot, but any less becomes translucent...and when you can see the inside cake layers it really detracts from the cake's smooth look...that's ALL you can see!

This just gave me a great idea for a cake I am doing ... thank you!! It's beautiful!
GORGEOUS CAKE!!!!!!!!
How pretty !!! What size where the pans you used ?
this cake was only for 30, so the pans are 5" and 8"...4 layers of cake each.
This is so pretty, simply elegant. Your fondant is so smooth, wish I could do that! Love the cake!
sometimes I have a problem with FOndant. I get too many "pleats" or folds at the buttom. can that be eliminated if it is thicker ? thatnks antonia
