Summer Wedding
This cake was done in 1980. It was yellow cake and buttercream icing. The flowers were alll royal icing. The cake topper was the bride's mother's topper. I remember a child skidding on the slick wood floor and hitting the table. The cake swayed and the bride ran to the cake and held onto the cake so it wouldn't fall. I'm sure she atill laugh's to this day!
Blurry pic but great cake! My son touched a very tall pillar with a huge boston fern on top at a reception once and a groomsman caught it just before it pitched the plant onto the wedding cake. I almost had a stroke! What memories!
