2 mix book pan on top of a 1/4 sheet. All is iced in butter cream with tip 21 for the pages. Edible images applied and pages painted with gold luster dust. The drapes at the corners are from a mold and painted with luster dust also.
Unbelieveable!!! What kind of gold dust did you use? Did you use the genuine gold or just the plain ol' gold dust? I love how shiney it is.
can you tell me how to paint luster dust onto butter cream please?
I mix my dusts with grain alcohol and paint it directly on. I use the real gold when I have it. To paint on buttercream or fondant, gumpaste etc, I mix the dust with enough alcohol to make it a medium thickness. Then paint it on. Sometimes it takes 2 coats. Thank you for your nice words.
