This was made for my husband's fire department's annual Steak Fry. I used round cakes to stack and cut to shape, crumb coated in buttercream and then covered in fondant. I used "snakes" of fondant to make the ribs in the helmet. The shield and brim is also fondant dried to shape.
What a cool cake. Never would have thought to do the helmet.
What a great hat cake ... you did a wonderful job on it!
You did a wonderful job!!
By ANY chance do you have instructions for this cake?? My frined's dh wants one for his b-day, and I am in a quandry on how to go about this! You cake looks AWESOME and is EXACTLY what I want to do! Thanks!
Thank You! I can email anyone that would like the instructions. Just PM me or email me at [email protected]
Yes this is a great one only a FF and the creator can appreciate!! Any instructions you can give as to how to go about it would be great!
AMAZING!!! My step-son loves everything to do with fire fighters, but it seems like it is all too juvinile. This is just what I was looking for for his 10th birthday. Hope you don't mind if I borrow it!!!
