1St Cake Before Taking A Class
I couldn't wait for my class to start! I'm taking Wilton I in a week, but after getting the course book and materials, I got so excited I decided to try one! My in-laws 40th anniv. was in a few days, so I made them this cake. The topper is original from their wedding cake. This was my first ever layered & decorated cake. After looking at lots of articles and forums on this website, I took the plunge. Now I really can't wait for my class to start!
Thank you for the encouraging comments. Yes, it really is my first cake. I took my time, practiced the border and lace on a cutting board. I used the crusting buttercream recipe I found on CC and the Viva method to make it smooth. My class is tonight! I'm really looking forward to it!
Great first cake if you do this good before your classes start you are going to be top in your class. This cake looks better than some peoples cakes at the END of their classes, and what I am refering to is the people in my 10 week course class.
