Rainbow Dash Birthday Cake
My 3 year old niece insisted on a Rainbow Dash "My Little Pony" birthday cake, so I used the Care Bears cake from the Wilton 2006 Yearbook and adapted it to Ponies! The cake is covered in MMF with a MMF rainbow (rolled into "snakes" and "glued" with royal icing), stars, hearts, and sunshine. The clouds are royal icing to give everything a little more support. My niece couldn't take her eyes off the cake once she saw it!! And I do have to admit, this is my absolute favorite cake I have done yet!

I made the rainbow the day before so the royal icing could dry (there are also hidden lollipop sticks behind the rainbow to stand it up)
I am doing MLP for my daughter's 2nd and am looking for ideas. I just saw that in my yearbook and thought of doing the same thing! LOL Good job, very cute.
Did you make the rainbow ahead of time? Also, did you put the clouds around the cake the same day you made the cake?
