These are my mother's cakes but she would never put her cakes out there she doesn't think they are good enough. I think she is mentally crippled. This was a cake for a bridal shower. The couple got married in Jamaica.

I think this cake is awesome!!! The detail is amazing...I love the way the writing looks like a message laid out by someone stranded on the island. Great job!!!

She used piping gel that you can get at a bakery supply store. To get the blue you have to add food coloring gel. Hope that helps! She still gets freaked out that people love her cakes. Thanks for the support!!! :lol:
Wow, great cake. If your mom doesn't mind, I'd like to replicate her cake for a good friend of mine's bridal shower. This cake is perfect. What did she use to make the island and how did she do the palm tree leaves?
I meant to ask, when pan did she use to make the hump for the island?
