For my nephew's first birthday. 3D Whale cake copied from "Party Animal Cakes" by Lindy Smith.

I used a 9x13x3 in. pan. I cut the cake in half and then stacked the halves on top of one another. I then cut out the general shape using the templates provided in the book. My "artsy" sister then helped with the carving of the final shape since she couldn't stand watching my awkwardness at shaping the cake =)

I LOVE this cake :lol: My mom collects whale figurines and is retiring in April. This would be a great cake to suprise her with at her office retirement party.
