this was the cake I made for a bride who didn't care what it looked like or what color,just wanted a cake!!!!!! I was not happy with the bows, they drooped due to 95 degree weather:( I had a bigger bow for the top but it flopped because of heat:( anyhow the bride loved it,she was so happy with it so thats all that matters.the cakes were vanilla with strawberry filling,lemon with coconutcream filling and marble with peanutbutter filling and top was vanilla w/buttercream fill.first attempt a stacked cake

Lovely cake! I've got request for a wedding cake that is a stack of boxes and they want a lip around the top of the boxes like this (to look like a lid) How did you do that?
thanks,I used a tip#1D I frosted the cakes then went around the sides(@thetop)with 1D,and used HOT water to seal/blend it to the top of the cake .only use hot h2o to blend top of strip,not bottom.
