Cathedral Cake on Cake Central

From Wilton's 2004 Yearbook...I did a few things differently but it's pretty much the same cake. This was for my sister-in-law's wedding and a freebie...tonnes of work and one of my first cakes. It stood 3 feet off the cake table...horrible to transport.

That is awesome! One of your 1st cakes??!?!?!? That is impressive, you did a stellar job, and I bet it was a pain to transport! I bet you had a litter of kittens doing so! I know I would. LOL

It's the cathedral kit from Wilton. The front door section, the steeple and the bell tower are cardboard. I decorated them with royal. The base is a large square covered with fondant, the next was 3 dummies covered in BC and then deocrated with royal but was supposed to be 3, 2-layer 10" cakes stacked...I just didn't need that much cake. The top section between the bell tower and the steeple was a 6" square covered with BC and deocrated with royal. The little turrets are flower spikes stuck in ...
