I made 40 of these 2 tiered mini wedding cakes for an engagement party. Some turned out a bit lopsided and I wasn't thrilled with the poured fondant that I used.
Several days. I got idea and instructions from the Wilton 2006 yearbook. The green cakes are chocolate and the white cakes are yellow cake. I used a poured fondant and even after 3 coats you can still see the cake through them.
I think they look cute! I just finished 12 of these last week for a friend, and thank goodness she is a friend because mine looked like the leaning tower of piza too! I covered mine in BC. Next time I'll use mini pans or pantasic pans.
