Lightning Mcqueen
This is Lightning McQueen from the Disney movie Cars. I made this cake for my son's 2nd birthday this past weekend. He is all about Cars (the movie) right now and he LOVED this cake. His reaction to it is was priceless! It is actually a red velvet cake made in the 3d Car cruiser cake pan. It iced in buttercream with fondant accents. The wheels are mini donuts covered in fondant. This cake actually looked bettter in person. I think the flash of the camera highlights all the flaws. Thanks for looking
great job!!
Ohhhh...Cool...it makes perfect sense!!!
Great job! What little boy wouldn't love this cake!
My son just saw this and said "WOW" Great cake!!
WOW! What a great job. I thought about making a 3D Cars cake, but used the Wilton pan instead.
Great idea with the donut covered wheels!!
Great Job!! Love it! How did you attatch the fondant spoiler in the rear?
Actually, I cut a piece of a card stock to the size and shape that I needed. Then I taped 3 toothpicks to it and covered it all with fondant. Once the fondant was dry, I stuck the toothpicks into the cake where I desired it to be. Hope that makes sense!
