Bongo Drums!
Cakes are double layer chocolate and yellow with choc BC filling. Chocolate BC icing on the bottom of the "drums", topped with Pettinice fondant tinted light copper. Trim is light copper BC dotted with M&Ms. Oh yeah, choc. covered graham crackers for the connectors! See my comment below for the story behind this disaster cake!
My first fondant foray, and it turned out okay. Made this cake for a friend who loves playing the bongos. On the way to the party, the limo slammed on the breaks to avoid an accident and I flopped knee-first right on top of the cake box. Needless to say, the bongos were destroyed before anyone got to see them :cry: All in all, it made for a great story and a great tasting pile of mushy cake. I'll post a pic of the smashed cake as soon as I get one from my friends. :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry:
