Gauley River Rafting Cake
I did this cake in a 6" and 10" rd. The river was done in RI and the trees were done in fondant. I have to thank cakesbyanh for all her help with the river and the trees. Characters and boat done in fondant also.

Amazing cake, I love the reaction on the guy's faces. How did you make the trees? Are the trunks in fondant and the leaves in RI?
this is simply fantastic.great job.
Thanks so much; jouj I got my tree directions from cakesbyanh, she is so helpful, my entire tree is fondant, I pushed the base on a popsicle stick and left about 3/4 in. showing out the bottom of the trunk so you can stick that part in the cake, let it dry for about 30 min. and then shape a green cone on top. Then use a pair of scizzors and snip the cone all over to make branches, make sure you pull the branch up a bit once you make the cut, you may have to snip of extra fond. when you get to the bottom...
Then you can paint the trunk and the tree
Nice!
This cake is fantastic!!
