5Th Cake..... :(
I'm getting discouraged. Such a simple idea I had in my mind but I had such trouble with it. Plus its much too busy. I went through two batches of icing because the chocolate just didn't taste right then I wanted one layer devils food cake and the other yellow...I won't even get into the trouble I had cutting /torting those. Then my writing... UGH. I'm embarrased to bring it to work. I'm not looking for sympathy....just need to vent. And am very frustrated.

On another board I belong to, most people seem to just bake 2 shorter layers, instead of torting. A lot of them run cake shops, and Quote:"don't have the time to mess about." :) I'm going to try that myself the next time.
don't run yourself down. This is a very nice cake. You sound like me. I see it in my head, and, think my stuff looks bad, but, everyone else thinks it's great. You learn from every attempt, and, that's the great part. You have a lot of talent, and, you'll only get better. Hang in there!
