My first attempt at make the Wedding couple cake toppers for a wedding cake I am doing next year. I can't find any info on this on the web so I am doing it free style at the moment, I have no idea how to even start the bodies. Any suggestions more than welcome!
There is another book by Linda Smith that has the Bride/Groom topper that it looks like you are making now. I think is called Celebrate with Cake? The book is at home, so I'm not sure of the exact title. Looks good so far!
I can't tell you how to construct them but if you go (...) there are some great examples for you to look at. I actually just ordered polymer clay books that show how to make such things. That might be helpful for you. Sorry I can't help more. :)
I'm not sure why but the link didn't show up. Do a search for "Cake Toppers by Lindy Smith" and you should get her website. Really cute ideas! (and the polymer clay books are coming from Amazon)
Thank you so much for the links and help!! going to the book store today!
They look great so far. What do you use to do the rosy cheeks?
sera1973 - I scrape a small amount of red artists chalk (non toxic) and dot with a fat soft paint brush in small circular motion, I do a small amount each time and build up until I what I have
