Sewing Tool Box
I made this "basket" for my mother's 70th birthday. She was and still is an excellent seamstress. It is a yellow cake with chocolate cream, covered with MMF and the details are made from gum paste. It was fun making all these details. The idea came from Nicolas Lodge masterpiece - many thanks.
Zipper instructions please! I love this idea - Very clever! :D :D :D
LOVE... LOVE... LOVE... LOVE it! Thank you so much for sharing!
WOW! I can only imagine the time it took to make all your little sewing supplies! It is magnificent! Truly a work of art and I'm sure your mother flipped over it! :)

Wow! Really incredible work...:o how in the world did you do the zipper?!?
That is beautiful. I'd also like to know how you made the zipper. ;-D
amazing !!!!!!
from the amount of care you put into making this cake you clearly adore your mum. She must be quite a lady!
Gorgeous!
May I ask how you did the imprint on the pillow? is it a mold or a stencil? :) This is outstanding!!!
OMG I bow down to you, this is amazing!! I see talent runs in the family.
Great job! Great details.
The zipper: for the two rows of interlocking teeth I made a mold pressing a "snake" of non-toxic clay on a real zipper. After the clay mold became firm, I used yellow gum paste to finish the "teeth" and glue them on the blue gum paste ribbon. The sliding device was made by free hand.
Dear bellejoey, I have found the font I like and draw the initials by hand on the pillow with a pen and than finished using CC's luster dust and a tiny paintbrush trying to imitate needlework
awesome! Great work!
