This was a birthday/graduation cake. Fudge cake with Dawn's bc filling, icing and decorations. I really love the color I was able to achieve and I'm finally getting the hang of smoothing properly.
Well--I started with left over purple and pink icing. I added maroon. Didn't like it. I added burgundy and kept cutting in little bits of icing--while maintaining the color I wanted. I made it 3 days in advance and it darkened quite nicely.
