Four Foot Gator. Made with creamy white cake and covered in fondant. Would have been easier with an airbrush! I'm getting one soon!Maybe then I'll be able to get the shading like ellepal's!
WOW!! Incredible!! You didn't even use an airbrush?!! I don't know how you did it! I always say "oh i can do that" But I don't think I could do this! JEALOUS!
Great job!!!! How did you get it covered so neatly and have such neat spikes!!!! Great carving!!! It is cakes like this that makes this newbie feel like there is no way in%$#@ that I can do that. LOL
that is amazing.........even more amazing that it's four feet long.....I've only made one cake that big (guitar) so I know how much the photos don't do them any justice.....the shear size of this alone makes it even more amazing that you were able to make it so lifelike...I would have LOVED to see this one in person WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you all! Yes, this is my first alligator. I traced a pattern out of freezer paper amd then cut my cakes out. Once they were on the board I carved it. Then I iced it and covered in fondant. To make him shiny I misted him with a spray bottle filled with water.
