Hawaiian Luau
10" & 6" french vanilla cake - fresh strawberrry & kiwi filling - vanilla b/c with fondant accents for a 10 year old girl b-day luau. Should have inserted the sun on sticks but I wanted the sun actually coming out of the cake. Next time I would use sticks. Sand is cinnamon graham crackers but through a processor. Shells are white chocolate dry brushed w/super pearl dust. Add fresh hot pink hibiscus flowers & additional shells around base at venue.
Love it!
That's awesome! I love the sun coming out of the cake!
Great job! I love it. Your handwriting is very nice!
looks great - I love the sun coming out of the cake too

love it!
Thank y'all so much for the kind words. It means a lot. :)
This is the best beach cake I've seen, can I use it for inspiration?
GORGEOUS
I adore this cake. I'm keeping it too for inspiration if that's okay!
OF COURSE!!! Thank you so much!
absolutely beautiful cake. Great Job!
Thank you!
That looks amazing!! Im new so, is that just fondant you let dry and then stuck in? And just FYI you took this picture the day my son was born! That makes you cake extra special to me! Look Great
Thanks and yes it is dried fondant and I did "stick" it in. Never do that!! I now "glue" with melted chocolate a popsicle stick to the back of everything and then insert the stick into the cake. I wanted it to look like the sun was coming out of th cake so I thought sticking it in would be ok. If I ever do it again I would not just stick it in.
Love it!
