The groom used to race cars so I did the exact replica of his car. Right down to the sponsors on the side and hood of the car. Exacto knife is my friend. I tried to paint on the side, but the colors were not cooperating, so I cut each letter out with an exacto knife. My eyes!!! Oh my eyes!!!
Oh my gosh - I bet your eyes were tired. I thought the car was plastic until I read your description. Is it solid fondant or a carved cake. Love how the checkboard is so perfect also - how did you do that? You're amazing!
Cookie..thank you so much. I made the car out of solid fondant. The checkered flag was white fondant painted black. I measured it out on paper first and cut a square out to use as a guide. Thanks for taking a peek and for your compliments.
thanks for explaining the checkered flag. I may have one coming up soon. Yours is perfect!
Very nice cake; very well done! I can't imagine cutting out all those letters. You have the patience of Job. :-)
you've got WAY more patience than I do terrific job on the car
Brilliant, how did you colour the chequered flag?
