Thanks everyone! (For the sprinkles: I just grab a handful and press into the sides, just like if you were putting nuts or crumbs onto the cakes sides. Make sure to cover your counter with foil or wax paper to catch the extras. This cake used about half a 10.5 oz tub of sprinkles to do.)
flav: The cake has to be freshly iced (still tacky), if the icing starts to crust it won't work. I iced the cake, applied the sprinkles and THEN decorated!
