Pirate Ship
I stacked and carved the cakes. I wanted my ship to be tall, so I made it three layers tall, and I used rice krispies for the bow which worked out great. The boards are fondant. The sails are gumpaste, and the cannons, rope, waves, and figure are modeling chocolate.

thank you! No I didn't use a mat, I just made lines on the boards with a knife and then the little dots with a toothpick for the nails.
