This is a "spur of the moment " cake I did yesterday for a little friend of mine. He was very disappointed when last month, I could not do his birthday cake, as I had other commitments. I have another cake due today, so mixed a little extra batter to surprise him.

No pan, just used a steel mixing bowl. The figure is almond marzipan, the cake devil's food, the icing chocolate fudge and buttercream.

Hat's off to all of you who do stars! This was a tiny cake, and yet I got so tired.
