My First Square Wedding Cake With Fresh Flowers on Cake Central

This was a prettty simple cake decoration with fresh flowers arranged by myself as well.

I did the dots free hand and I'm not sure what size tip I used. I changed it as I changed layers. The icing is home made butter cream. Thanks for the nice comments.

the cake is lovely - I find it's simplicity very elegant and am considering using it to make my own wedding cake in September. Can you tell me about keeping the flowers fresh...is water soaked floral foam blocks used? I've never done anything like this before and any advise you can offer would be much appreciated. Again - the cake is beautiful.

I didn't use the oasis soaked. I just kept the flowers in the florist cooler until I got ready to set up the cake. But, I did use oasis in between to arrange the flowers. They will be fine as long as you have them in a cooler in water until you get ready to set up the cake. Thank you for the comments. I appreciate them.

I love the beautiful 'swiss dot' decoration - how'd you do that? Is it like a fleur de lis? What size tip did you use? What kind of icing for cake and decoration?
