Baby Shower Cake
I am pretty proud of this one. The whole thing is fondant. I had a bit of a tough time with the bow but I think it turned out alright. I just wish I could figure out how to get rid of ALL the cornstarch that gets stuck to the fondant when I am shaping it. No matter how hard I try it always leaves little traces of white powder.
You did a great job overall and the baby is adorable.

very cute cake. perfect colors! I have the same probem with the cornstarch. try a paintbrush.
I saw on Ace of Cakes that they airbrush their cakes with Vodka to get rid of cornstarch - perhaps a little spritz in a spray bottle? Just a thought.
Interesting idea with the vodka. I tried water once and the fondant just got all sticky...
