Course 1 Final Cake

Course 1 Final Cake on Cake Central

I opted for something a little bit different, and used my oval pans from my Course 2 kit, and used chocolate peanut butter fudge buttercream instead of the class buttercream. The roses gave me fits, I got the technique down, and my icing was the right consistancy, but the edges were still jagged!

My advice....LOL! Survive BC roses...and look forward to fondant and gumpaste roses! You're doing fine!

This is beautiful!! I can see your artistic ability too!! One tip I learned which helped my roses not to be jagged....I took the sharp point of my rose nail and pushed open the narrow edge of my rose tip just slightly from the inside to spread it just a bit. You still get a clean sharp edge on your petals but I've never had another jagged edge since!! Can't wait to see more of your work!!!
